Are all metals magnetic? Like, if there was this gigantic magnet above all metal samples which would not move?
I mean, which metallic element or mixed metal alloy would not stick to the gigantic magnet? Would paint (acrylic or just regular paint) covering the metal samples affect it magnetability? I do mean, all of the metals and metalloids in the existing periodic table.
Oh, so what metals are not magnetic then?
And is there any difference in magneticability between staineless steel and steel?
Are these metals just “not magnetic enough” or are they “not magnetic at all”?
A lot of metals are not attracted to magnets. For example, aluminum, copper, gold, silver–none of these are magnetic. I actually think that relatively few metals are actually attracted to magnets.
