Bar Commemorative

Bar Commemorative
USN/USMC-adoption-commemorative Ka-Bar?

I am surveying interest in a contingency commemorative product from Ka-Bar Knives, Inc., Olean, NY, USA, based on the known history of U. S. Navy knives during the Second World War. I picture engraving on the blade of a 7″ (12″ overall) straight-edged model along the following lines:

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY – BUREAU OF ORDNANCE
KNIFE, FIGHTING AND UTILITY, MK 2 MOD 0
Date of Adoption: 23 November 1942
Initial Contract: 17 December 1942

Both USN and USMC versions would probably be available, per Ka-Bar corporate policy on military/tactical knives; perhaps a Taiwanese plastic scabbard for the USN and a Mexican leather sheath for the USMC, with Service-appropriate markings based on issue procedures when adopted.

Good idea for limited production? If so, what amendments to the plan laid out hereabove? And in what total numbers? Thanks in advance.

Sounds good to me!!
