Fix Wii Black Screen – Do It Yourself Fix Wii Black Screen
We have found that there have been thousands of reports of users experiencing a Wii Black Screen which we also like to call “the black screen of death.” If you want to learn how to get rid of this error immediately as well as hundred or other Wii errors then Click here for a step by step guide on how to fix almost every Wii problem!
Anyways, this Wii black screen error is similar to the blue screen that pops up on a Windows Computer. This screen is very startling but also very disappointing. It completely paralyzes your Wii. There is usually no error code, just a plain black screen. Any button you attempt to press will do absolutely nothing. All you get is a big, BLACK screen. A big Wii black screen. Often your Wii may make an odd startup sound before this Wii Black Screen is going to occur. It often means that there was a connection error between the Wii remote and the Wii system. But the good news is that this often is a technical issue, but not a hard one to resolve if you know what you’re doing. You will see below, a list of reasons why the Wii black screen can occur.
Reason #1 for Wii Black Screen – Wii Channel Connection Error
The most common cause of the Wii Black Screen is simply a connection error, like I stated above. It is a problem that occurs between the Wii Remote and the Wii System, when attempting to load the Wii channel. When you see the blue light on your remote, it is because it is checking for a connection. If it fails, the Wii may freeze during startup which then causes the Wii Black Screen.
Reason #2 for Wii Black Screen – Lost Connection While Playing Wii Games
This is another common reason for the Wii Black Screen. This often happens while playing WiiWare games. This can happen while using a Wii Remote or a classic controller. The remote will randomly lose connection, causing the Wii Black Screen.
Reason #3 for Wii Black Screen – Overheating
Another common reason, but not as common as the ones above would be the Wii overheating. This can happen if you leave your Wii running often, overnight, etc. This will cause the Wii to suddenly shut off, which will then open up the Wii Black Screen. One way to fix the overheating issue, is to unplug your Wii for 2-3 days and let it relax.
Reason #4 for Wii Black Screen – Hacking
If your Wii gets hacked, it can cause an application error. This then results in the Wii Black Screen.
Now worst case scenario, you’re hardware has been completely worn out. This could just be a disk drive error or something even more serious. For this, you would have to contact NINTENDO to get it fixed.
However, for all the other options above there is a quick and easy fix. Click here for a step by step guide on how to fix almost every Wii problem!
