Blade Drop

I hit a tree stump & my push mower cut off.I checked the blade I noticed that it had dropped low to the ground

Push-type mowers often have wheels that are adjustable for height to allow you to cut grass at different heights. Some have blade-height adjustments to give additional space between the blade and the bar for cutting coarse grass.

If a wheel or bolt loosens on its own or is knocked away from its setting, this will cause the blade to jam.

For both wheel height and blade setting, adjustment is done by loosening a bolt, setting the height you want, then tightening the bolt again.

Check yours for this, as it is almost certainly where your problem is, and it is an easy fix.
