can i use a bread knife to cut other things like cheese for example?

Can be done but it’s tricky
You will need written Permission from the bread.
You need to undertake a full medical
You need to be supervised during the procedure by fire dept and trained medics
Police will need to be advised for crowd control..
The area you intend to cut in will need to be sectioned off and sterile
You and knife will need to be quarantined for 3 weeks

Like I said it’s tricky, personally I’d get a vegetable knife there are no specific rulings with those little rascals
