How to keep sliced apples from browning in packed lunches?

I cant really take a knife with me to work (rules you know) and i really like apples with my lunch…how do I keep them from turning brown if I am not going to eat the slices for several hours? or am I dumed to brown slices? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You could try to add some lemon, lime, or orange juice to keep the slices from turning brown. Or you could pick up one of those apple slicers and bring the whole apple and slicer to work. It cores and cuts the apple all in one motion, and you wouldn’t get in trouble for bringing a knife to school.
