Tazer Usage: Methods to Practice

You may speculate about why bad things happen to good people. We may never know the answer but we do know that sometimes terrible things happen. Criminals that haven’t been caught are roaming our planet and they usually take advantage of good people like you and me. That is why you should get a Tazer and learn how to protect yourself with it.

Proper practice makes perfect and this goes for self defense just as much as with anything else.Having a Tazer is a good start, but there are several things you need to practice in order to make it an effective tool for self defense. When you finish reading this article, you should have all the knowledge you need to protect yourself.

The hardest part about defending yourself with a weapon is actually using it. Most people don’t injure others on a regular basis, which is usually a good thing. But when someone is coming at you with a weapon or are threatening to harm you, then you don’t really have a choice. So, in order to overcome the fear of attacking someone else, you should practice attacking a dummy or inanimate object.

Rehearse assaulting the dummy in this manner. Take the batteries and cartridge out of the Tazer. (You don’t want to have the cartridge in because they are expensive to replace, and discharging the drive stun part of the gun without putting it to flesh can damage the electrodes.) Then, practice pulling the stun gun out and firing it at the target. Rehearse this until you can do it quickly. Then practice drive stunning by jabbing the “tip” of the weapon toward the neck and just below the rib cage. Depending on the practice figure you’re utilizing you may not want to drive your Tazer into it; doing so could damage your weapon. Practice loading and unloading a canister until you can do so smoothly and easily.

You can boost your confidence by regularly practicing using your Tazer. You should practice until you can do these things smoothly, then practice at least once a month. That way, you will always be ready for the worst and will be able to prevent another bad thing happening to a good person.
