Self Defense Questions for a female?
Okay, I’m an 18 year old 5’1 petite female. I am slightly worried about getting jumped or anything when I’m alone. About 2 months ago I bought a either 3 or 3.5 inch CRKT assisted opening knife that I carry on my belt. I’m not trained in using a knife but I keep out in the open on my hip so maybe they will think I’m not worth attacking and get someone not as prepared. This weekend I bought pepper gel that sticks to their face, but its not a direct stream so I’m lil nervous about that. Here are my questions though;
If I were to buy a BB gun that shoots metal pellets can I carry that out on my side of my belt like I do the knife? Do I have to be 18 to carry a handgun BB? Since they have CO2 will they explode in my car? Are they refillable like paintball guns? Is this even a good protection to distract them and be able to spray them in the eyes and set off a personal alarm which I am currently looking to buy?
A bb gun or pellet gun is most likely going to anger a person who is attacking you, not send them away.
Don’t carry any weapon you’re not prepared to actually use. (If you can’t cut someone, don’t carry the knife, if you couldn’t shoot, don’t carry a gun.)
I recommend mace. It has an actual effect, and can help you get away. The pellet gun thing — that’s just asking for trouble.
