Is the cold steel counter tac considered a dagger?

I live in Texas and know daggers are illegal to carry but if its only a boot knife then it would be legal. It is under the legal length so that is not a problem

Well…. if your “boot knife” is in fact a dagger…. calling it just a “boot knife” is not going to keep you out of trouble.

A dagger is (just by straight dictionary definition): a double edged blade primarily for stabbing.

The counter tac is a double edged blade, primarily for stabbing…. so yes… it fits the definition of a dagger.

As a dagger it would be illegal to possess in Texas.

And the advertising from Cold Steel…. they even advertise it’s “needle sharp” point and “effortless penetration.” Even the company doesn’t try to hide the fact that this is a “dagger” by any accurate definition of that word.
