Diving Knife Size Restrictions?

I’m looking into getting a knife for diving purposes. I am primarily getting it with the intention of line cutting. Most of the knives I’ve seen are over 3″. Do you need a license to carry a diving knife that’s 4-6″ long, as long as it’s not concealed?

As long as it doesn’t have a double sided blade, you’re fine to carry it wherever. It doesn’t matter how long it is or if it is concealed or not. A knife is not a concealed weapon unless you make it one (by intent). If someone asks you why you have a knife (any size) and you say it’s for cutting lines, cleaning under your finger nails or whatever, you’re fine, but if you say it’s for protection, you just classified it as a weapon.
