Gauntlet Armor
A gauntlet is not a cup, right?
I’m sure it’s an armored glove that jousters and fencers used to present to eachother as a challenge during the medieval era.
Among other things a gauntlet is a type of armoured glove. Whomever thought it is a cup probably is mispronouncing “GOBLET” – just a guess…
