Should i report child abuse or do u think I should try to get custody? And if so how do i go about doing so?

my sister has a lot of kids but I think she treats some different than the others. I’ve always watched 2 particular ones because they have been abused the most by either her or her boyfriends. I think it is because their real daddy’s dont want anything to do with them so the mother takes out anger on them. Here recently one of my other sisters was down her house for spring break and she saw the boy get beat with a wire hanger for about 15 mins. Keep in mind the boy is only 5 years old. The girl gets treated badly cause she not as pretty as her younger sister . She only 10 yrs. old. The boy has a dent in his chest where a previously relationship boyfriend of hers. I swore up and down that he did it. She dumped him cause he was abusive and now a couple of months later he is in jail for cracking a girls skull with screws in her ankle. So u tell me should i report what has been going on or not? Its so much that needs to be explained Please help me decide.

I think you should try and get custody if that is your desire, from the sound of it – they could use someone that cares. They probably don’t think anyone out in the world does – just letting them know would do them a world of good.

Talk to the mother, if she is not interested in your idea or letting the children live with you – yes, report her. Try diplomacy first.

Nothing worse than people knowing a situation is harmful and taking no action at all. Let the kids know you know. Let them know they can count on you. It will make all the difference.
