Hibben Iii
Are these blades made with good combat quality?
I don’t know how to judge if the metal quality is good or if the blades would break easily. Or how to tell if the handle is attached well.

Example: Blade Material: 440 Stainless Steel
440 is decent steel. it will lose a very sharp edge quickly but it will retain a moderately sharp one for a while. on the plus side its easy and quick to sharpen.
by combat quality do you mean practical and durable?
for blade 1: no. a machete is useless and retarded unless you’re hacking vegatation in the jungle, 440 is ok, decently easy to sharpen and holds an edge for a little bit. wooden handles are as bas as you can get. they’re slippery when wet and can break easily.
for blade 2: no… just no. do you know how much of a pain in the ass it would be to keep that concave area of the blade sharpened? you might as well have a flat piece of metal there. also 420 is the last stainless steel i would ever choose for a knife. it will lose its edge after the first thing you cut.
for blade 3: again, nothing i’d ever buy. 420HC is around the toughness of 440, but its more brittle. id give it a week before you break off the tip.
unless you’re cutting trhough brush, forget the whole machette thing. if you want a knife that you’ll actually get some use out of: http://www.benchmade.com/products/210TK
i suggest that one because i prefer fixed blades, dont have to worry about them getting stuck or dirty in the opening mechanism. if you prefer folders, though, heres a good one:

s30v steel is the best steel for any knife you plan to use a lot and plan to sharpen yourself. its stainless and takes a lot to dull it down, and its about as hard as you can go before you have to worry about chipping your knife constantly.
for a handle i would go with either hardened rubber or one of the synthetic matertials that you can keep a grip on even if its coated in oil.
