Knife Display

Would you consider it lame for a cafe to display artwork depicting forks, knives and other banal food-related?

… paraphernalia?

it strikes me as being sort of redundant. What are you, the customer, using to eat your food with? Are you comfortable about any café making a joke about the stuff you put into your mouth?

It could simple indicate some poor imagination and a juvenile or (at least) inappropriate sense of humour.

But then, subway have maps of New York; noodle bars have photos of noodle soups; pizza kitchens have photos of pizzas etc… might be a bit bland as ideas go.

The thing that really gets my goat is that the food in the pics doesn’t look like anything you get served up!
