Knife Lot

Found a knife in the parking lot, Woman was raped @knife-point 2 blocks from where I live last week?

There is a notice on the bullitin board at the complex mail boxes that says there was a woman raped at knifepoint 2 blocks from where I live. I found a knife in the parking lot this evening. I called the police to notify them and see if they would look in to it, and they told me to do whatever I wanted with the knife. So I picked it up with a plastic bag. I am thinking of telling my building managers, and mailing the knife in to the police department. I know that there is a possibility that this is not the knife from that rape…but I still think the police should at least look in to it. Should I mail the knife to them? I mean, it seems a little careless that the didn’t even ask what area I lived in or anything…

If they didn’t show any interest in the knife, then it’s possible that they already have it, or a knife wasn’t actually seen. Recontact the Police, and see if you could speak with the follow up investigator handling the case.
