Knife Sharpener

How do you use a knife sharpener?

The set of knives came with a long cylendrical tool with ridges. Can you explain how to use it? Will it sharpen other things like scissors or razors? Thank you.

It’s called a steel. If you search “sharpening with a steel”, or “how to use a steel”, there are sites that will explain, and there’s even some videos on youtube. It’s really only useful for knives because of how you have to use it though I can’t see why it wouldn’t sharpen anything you could get it on properly.
