LARGE clown knife with a silver arowana?/…in a 200 gal tank.?compatibility?

hi…i have a very large clown 27 inches,,,,someone gave ,me..lol..really..and ..i have a12inch…silver arowana someone else wants to give me…my basic question is .will they get along or .am i going to come home and find the arowana shredded.or just gone in his belly>?>…otherwise i can put him for now in a extra tank.(or will he be ok with the clown at nite??)..the arowana until he grows up some.,,,also..how fast do they grow in about a year ..the arowana i mean…if its 12 inches now…?/any idea..??..any info helpfull..thanks…j

Arowana do grow fairly quickly, albeit they slow at a 12″. Your Clown Knife is only half grown. They should keep out of the way of each other.

The trouble you do have is that both these fish will grow out of the average 200 gallon tank, tanks are really just too narrow for these fish as they need big turning circles. For that reason they’re better off in much larger tropical ponds. That’s probably why someone gave you the Clown Knife, not many people have room for large tropical heated ponds.
