How do I find information on possible antique foreign knives?

My husband has a knife from Finland. We know who made the filet knife, but we don’t know how old it is. We found a website about the knife company. Found a picture of the knife we have, but it has some slight differences. Our knife is etched with the words “hand ground stainless steel” with a symbol of a whale trademark. The company that makes these knives is J. Marttiini & the website is http://www.nordicarts.com/marttiini_knives_scandinavia_06_HUB.htm . We’re just wanting to know if it’s an antique.

The best way is to find two or three reputable
antiques dealers/experts. Get their opinions, if they are consistent, then you have your answer.
