This Is How One Man Changed His Routine For The Better

George was one of those people who liked to stick with routines. If he didn’t, nothing seemed quite right for the rest of the day. His day would begin with an application of nioxin intensive therapy recharging complex. That wasn’t a problem. He loved the stuff and it worked. The problem was in the routine.

Life just started to get flat for George. At first, he couldn’t figure out what was wrong. For awhile, he got even more obsessive about his routine, thinking that would fix things. It didn’t though. Then one beautiful Saturday morning, it hit him. This is what happened.

George went through his usual shower and replenishing formula routine. Afterwards, he made his usual meal of bacon, eggs, toast and juice. On this particular morning, though, he just didn’t enjoy it. It bothered him, but he just put it down to a lack of appetite or something. He then brushed his teeth as he always did, directly after eating.

After that, he got dressed. He had his usual Saturday morning clothes all laid out and ready. His crisply ironed pants and shirt were in their exact usual location on his bed. He put them on – first the shirt and then the pants. Then he put on his brown socks and picked up his right brown boot – the one he always put on first.

He was just about to put it on when he had an idea. ‘I think I’m going to do something different today, ‘ he said. He laid down the right boot and put the left one on first instead. What a refreshing change! It was as if he realized for the first time in his life that he was free to do whatever he liked.

Part of George’s regular Saturday routine included going to the same diner and ordering the same large meal for lunch. Since he wasn’t a very active man, this part of his routine had made him put on some extra pounds. George decided to do something about it at last. Instead of going to the diner, he went for a nice walk instead and vowed to stick to it as part of a weight loss regimen.

George is still a man of routine, but his new routine has left him feeling great. Not only that, but instead of having a boring lunch at the diner alone, he goes to his new girlfriend’s house and she makes him a healthy lunch.
