Nylon Sheath

is it a good idea to replace the leather sheath and buy a nylon sheath for my ka bar?

I’ve got K-Bar’s with both and don’t really notice any big difference. I make Kydex sheaths and unless you want the absolute most in anti mold or rot, your leather sheath will be fine. Just keep it as dry as possible and put a coat of Neatsfoot Leather protectant on it now and then.

My leather sheaths have been wet for multiple days at a time, with no noticeable degradation in performance.
