SCA aluminum shield?
Will 8 Ga (1/8th inch) 3003 aluminum work for a 24×34 curved heater shield for heavy weapons combat? I wont mind if it bends a little over time, I just dont want to be out there hiding behind a piece of aluminum foil.
I do plan on covering it with canvas and painting my heraldry on it.

Depending on the intensity of combat you want to be involved in, Standard thickness are of curved heater shields ( 24X36) with a 4-inch curve that is made T6 Aluminum has a .090.
If you find thicker ones , it could long lasting and offers better protection on the long run.
