Skean Dhu

is it now illegal to wear skean dhu when you are wearing a kilt outfit?

In most places it would technically be illegal as the blade length usually exceeds most city ordinances.

You won’t have a problem if you are taking part in some sort of cultural event, normally. You may or may not have problems when wearing the kilt casually, depending on the the situation. I’ve never had a problem but I am careful just where I wear them.

Wearing one visibly into a bar is asking for trouble nowadays, for example.

There are other choices, though. There are fake ones that are often termed Skein Don’ts (instead of Duhb’s) or Skein Brews (has a bottle opener instead of a blade…great pub joke…)
