Special Agent

As to becoming a Special Agent in the FBI, do I still need regular work experience if I have been in the USMC?

I’ve noticed on the FBI website that they require applicants 2-3 three years full-time work experience before joining the FBI. I’m in college right now, and if after I graduated I went to the Marines, then got out and applied to be a Special Agent, would that military service count as work experience, or would I also need experience in a regular job?
I am currently a sophomore in college, will graduate in 2012.
