Spyderco Knife

I’m not sure on what knife to get I’m looking between a Coldsteel or a Spyderco?
I either want a Coldsteel ak-47 or a Spyderco Endura 4 with the Emerson wave I can’t make up my mind if anyone owns one or both of these knives please help or even if you have seen one in person or have background in knives haha
Regardless of the purpose Spydercos are better knives compared to Cold Steel. Even though I don’t like the blade geometry on Spydies they’re better knives.
Specifically – Spyderco endura has VG-10 steel, hardened to 59-60HRC while cold steel uses AUS-8A steel around 56-58HRC. I’d assume it’s closer to 56HRC,
As far as blade steel performance goes AUS-8A is level below VG-10.
More on that in Knife Steel FAQ – http://zknives.com/knives/articles/knifesteelfaq.shtml#VG10
At lest in my experience Cold Steel blades except for Carbon V steel ones didn’t hold a good edge.

Besides Spyderco endura can be carried tip up or down, left or right handed.
Blade to handle ratio is a lot more proportional on Spyderco compared to Cold Steel,
In short Spyderco is a clear winner.
To James D. – Knives are the oldest tools that humans invented and if you can’t get anything else in your mind besides stabbing, then perhaps you should be locked up, not normal people carrying the knives.
For your information, the stabbings and generally knife related crime, is mostly committed with kitchen knives, not with expensive folders. At least get some facts before insulting other posters.
I carry 2-3 knives on me all the time and so far never had to use them for anything but utility use.
Spyderco Caly3 knife: Outstanding
