How do i take care of this blade?
i bought a steel machete much like this one on ebay

i know mine is of the same quality steel and i was wondering what i should use to prevent the blade from rusting.
i need more detailed answers like specific products that i can buy locally without buying online as i don’t have a credit card.
metal brite is for removal of rust not for prevention of rust i need a specific name here people! i cant seriously be the only person who owns a high carbon steel blade
what kind of oil there is a million different kinds i mean im sure im not supposed to use motor oil but i need product names so i can loook for them at a local store
Listen, all you need is a candle. Heat the candle and drip the candle into a little diesel oil and rub it over the blade. Keep the blade indoors. That is how the army look after their blades. You can buy cheap or not so cheap products that do not work. It is up to you how you proceed.
