LEGO Harry Potter Playsets – Hogwarts Fort & The Burrow
I received right down to some serious enterprise during the last three nights: Harry Potter LEGO building.
First I delved into the brand new version of LEGO hogwarts. With nearly 1,300 items, I had to name in my kids for reinforcements. There are loads of fantastically detailed rooms to play in that are available in 4 foremost sections that can be locked collectively to create one large fortress, or kept separate for individual play.
The first section houses the Headmaster’s workplace, together with a cool shifting spiral staircase and the Trophy Room. Top-of-the-line issues about this set is the attention to detail: The trophy case includes with a James Potter’s Quidditch plaque. There are also a bunch of nifty items on Dumbledore’s desk and bookshelves, which have hidden compartments (keep an eye fixed out for the Sorcerer’s Stone).
The second part is the Nice Corridor, which features stained glass windows, Gryffindor and Slytherin Home banners, student tables, benches, food and goblets, as well as a place for lecturers to sit.
The third section is a 3-story tower that comprises the Owlery, and Slytherin and Gryffindor Common Rooms, the latter of which incorporates Sirius Black’s face within the fireplace. There’s also a room with knight guarding Tom Riddle’s diary, which I think is supposed to characterize the Chamber of Secrets.
The final part is the Astronomy Tower, full with a telescope on the roof. The second ground leads the Restricted Part of the Library and includes keys that unlock a bookcase concealing a secret e book, and the underside floor is the doorway to the Room of Requirement.
Along with all the nice places talked about above, the LEGO Hogwarts Castle set additionally has a great deal of minifigures: Dumbledore, Harry, Hermione, Professor Snape, Professor McGonagall, Voldemort, Dementors (with creepy skeletons hidden below their cloaks) and two figures which can be model new to the LEGO line: Professor Flitwick and Argus Filch (with a tiny Mrs. Norris).
Apart from these talked about above, this LEGO hogwarts set comes with tons of accessories. Amongst them are three owls, an Invisibility Cloak, basilisk fang, Sorting Hat, Sword of Gryffindor, Marauder’s Map, a Hogwarts crest, a Vanishing Cabinet and problems with The Quibbler and The Each day Prophet.
I received a chance to try out the brand new Burrow play set as well. Not only is that this the first time the Burrow’s been featured by LEGO, but this set additionally consists of several new minifigures: Harry Potter, Arthur (new), Molly (new) and Ginny Weasley, Bellatrix Lestrange (new) and Fenrir Greyback (new). Sadly, there is no Ron on this set.
(And yes, I did move the Molly and Bellatrix figures over to the Hogwarts Fortress play set to reenact their last battle. You already know you’ll have, too.)
Although the Weasley home has that wonky asymmetrical look we’ve all come to know and love, don’t worry – it’s only cosmetic. The LEGO bricks themselves are straight and I had no hassle putting it together. Attached to the house is a pig pen, full with pig. The set comes with a number of home windows and a couple of bushes.
There are three flooring and there is no wall on the back of the house, making it simple to play with the figures inside it. On the bottom ground of the house is the Weasley kitchen, which incorporates dishes, utensils, mock meals and a seating area. There’s also the lounge that houses the well-known Weasley household clock. There’s a bed room is on the second flooring, along with a Hogwarts trunk, and one other bedroom on the third and final floor.
The set comes with a neat Floo Community fireplace that truly works. I dropped in Harry, flipped the deal with and the fireside dumped him out the again while a picture of floo powder flames appeared within the front. It also comes with somewhat space you may construct that represents the reeds outside the Burrow, the place Ginny was nearly attacked by Fenrir Greyback. This Burrow set also comes with a duplicate of the Daily Prophet and the Quibbler.
